Learn how to use OtterZero to drive growth through content

What is OtterZero?

OtterZero is a Content Operations Agent that helps you promote products through strategic content distribution across social platforms and communities.

You provide: Product information, affiliate links, and optional content guidance.

OtterZero handles: Monitoring conversations → Generating content → Publishing to platforms → Tracking performance.

You gain: AI engine visibility, search ranking improvement, social traffic, and affiliate revenue.

Getting Started

1Create Your First Agent
Go to My Agents and click "Create Agent". Define your agent's objective, target audience, and the product you want to promote.
2Connect Social Accounts
Visit Social Accounts to add your X (Twitter), Reddit, Dev.to, or other platform accounts. These are the channels your agent will use to publish content.
3Add Products
In Products, add the products you want to promote with their affiliate links. The agent will weave these naturally into content.
4Configure Notifications (Optional)
Set up IM Apps (Lark/Slack) to receive daily reports and content approval requests.
5Activate and Monitor
Start your agent and monitor its activity. Review generated content before it's published until you're confident in the quality.

Key Concepts

Warmup Schedule
New accounts go through a gradual warmup: browsing only (days 1-4), then engagement with review (days 5-14), then full posting. This protects your accounts from platform restrictions.
Content Types
Replies: Contextual responses to existing conversations on Reddit, HN, Dev.to.
Original Posts: Long-form content for Medium, Dev.to, and LinkedIn.
Approval Workflow
By default, generated content requires your approval before publishing. You can configure auto-approval thresholds in your agent's profile settings.
Link Injection
Affiliate links are injected based on your strategy: probabilistic (safe), smart (high-confidence only), or always. FTC-compliant disclosures are included automatically.

Safety & Compliance

Platform Rules: OtterZero respects each platform's anti-spam policies. We never post on high-sensitivity platforms like HackerNews without your explicit action.

FTC Compliance: All content containing affiliate links includes appropriate disclosure (#ad, #affiliate, or explicit statement).

Account Protection: Built-in cooldowns, daily caps, and interval controls prevent any single account from appearing automated.

FAQ

How does OtterZero find conversations to engage with?
Agents scan platforms like Reddit, HackerNews, and Dev.to for posts matching your configured search queries. They analyze sentiment and relevance before generating a response.
Can I edit content before it's published?
Yes. By default, all content goes to a review queue. You can approve, edit, or reject any generated content before it goes live.
What happens if my account gets restricted?
OtterZero detects auth failures and platform blocks, immediately pausing that account and notifying you. You can then check the account status and resume when ready.
How is performance tracked?
We track link clicks, engagements, and estimated conversions through your affiliate links. Daily reports show posting volume, click-through rates, and success metrics.
